My learning frameworks: F.A.S.T and W.A.S.P

Updated: Nov 5, 2022

These days I've met talented people from whom I want to learn as much as possible. They are so good, and that's why I want to upgrade myself more and more when working with them. So, I think about learning methods and how to make the learning process easier and faster. Fortunately, I've figured out the F.A.S.T and W.A.S.P frameworks.

F.A.S.T

F = Forget → It means you try to be empty and humble to absorb new knowledge.

A = Active → Be proactive in learning, asking, and finding answers to my questions.

S = State → Maintain good energy when learning new things. We can't memorize and get more knowledge when in a bad mood.

T = Teach → Try to teach someone interested in my knowledge. When I teach them, I learn once again. This knowledge will stick in my mind longer.

W.A.S.P

W = Watch → Watch how excellent people do their jobs.

A = Ask → Ask them what I don't know, but do some research before asking any questions.

S = Seek → Seek opportunities to do the job.

P = Practice → Do it because Practice makes perfect

3. The advantages of these two frameworks

These two frameworks are two sides of the learning process. The F.A.S.T model focuses more on how I manage myself when learning new things. And the W.A.S.P model shows how I can act to learn new stuff, especially when I have very experienced people by my side. Generally, I value all two frames.

I've always loved learning throughout my life. And it's my luck to meet talented and positive people to learn from them. I have to take these opportunities seriously. That's why I believe the F.A.S.T and W.A.S.P frameworks will help me see a straightforward process of learning whatever I want from whoever I see as a role model.
