We need to practice some skills to work in the e-commerce industry, such as commercial planning, marketing planning, data analytics, graphic design, content writing, etc. From my own experience, I want to mention the first essential skill: Graphic Design.
An approach to design from an Ecommerce planner’s perspective
As Ecommerce executives or planners, we don’t need to learn how to use Photoshop, Illustration, or Premiere as professional graphic designers. But, we have to know some basic skills in design to work smoothly.
In fact, the visual image is the essential thing in Ecommerce because people mostly make their purchases based on pictures and banners. Every day, we work with many visual pieces of stuff to prepare for stores’ layouts, landing pages, on-site visibilities, etc. Besides, the monthly promotion is presented by banners, that’s why we need to brief and give feedback about all the designs to designers. Sometimes, we have to design in some urgent cases when we do not have designers by our side quickly. I have to face this situation a lot when working as an Ecommerce executive. The urgent design task is prevalent.
What do we need to know about graphic design basics?
