We'll forget what we've been through

Yesterday I came across my diary when I was 18 years old. When I read it, I felt happy and a little bit silly. I saw who I was at that age. It was an exciting experience. I realize that I forget many things in my life. If I hadn't found out about my diary, I wouldn't have remembered all these things in the past. That's why writing things down to save memories is meaningful. If not, we will forget what we have been through.

1, Document to know who we are

Many people don't really know who they are. Sometimes, they better know about their idols or famous people on the internet. As you know, most people quickly notice some actors' revolutions yearly because actors' lives are documented daily by newspapers and Youtube. Sadly, people spend time reading these things and get to know more and more about celebrities, but they don't have any documents to tell about themselves. As I said, we can't remember many things we have been through. That's why we write our lives down and self-reflect on who we are.

2, The ways to save memories

Luckily we have some common ways to capture our memories. It's simple to do right now.

  • Have a notebook to write down our thoughts

  • Take some photos and post them on our Instagram accounts

  • Make daily vlogs

  • Establish our own websites

We use these methods to build our second brain. Whenever we go over them, they will remind us about who we were about some great moments ever. We eternalize the finite moments.

I used to read this sentence from a famous person: "Your brain is good at creating ideas and memories, but not good at saving them." That's why we need a second brain to document our lives and enjoy every finite moment. If not, we will forget what we have been through.
